Q: Is everything handmade?
A: Yes! All Tula in Bloom pieces are handmade and may include repurposed and reclaimed materials.
Q: What kinds of materials are used?
A: Metals used include sterling silver, brass, bronze, and copper. Other materials used may include wood, glass, reclaimed hide and bone, and semi-precious stones.
Q: Are all of the pieces one-of-a-kind (OOAK)?
A: Though there are a number of one-of-a-kind pieces, other works in the collection have been inspired by an OOAK design and are part of a limited run. Because each piece is made by hand, no two are exactly alike, even the designs that fabricated again and again. Custom orders yield many OOAK pieces, especially when redesigning pieces from a client's own retired collection.
Q: How do custom orders work?
A: You decide you want a special piece that reflects who you are or part of your journey, so you email, direct message via social media, or call for a consultation. We meet and if we decide to move forward, you provide a design fee (amount varies and is credited towards the total price). Design sketches are created and upon your approval, cost and time estimates are given. You pay a 50% deposit* (for orders above $150) and work begins.** You’re notified at the completion of your piece(s) with the balance of your order due at that time. You receive your jewelry and love it, knowing it expresses you and your unique experience. Want to know more or schedule a consultation? Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
*Deposits are nonrefundable once materials are purchased.
**Project times vary; expedited requests, if can be accommodated, require additional charge.
